Malkhaz Toria met with the Ambassador of Austria

The  State Representative of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti  Malkhaz Toria met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Georgia Thomas Mühlmann.

A kickoff meeting, which was held in the administration of the State Representative,  sides discussed about Future relations and, it is planned to sign a memorandum of cooperation between Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti and one of the regions of Austria. Talks focused on the historical relations between the two countries, issues of cooperation in the fields of economy and tourism.

The State Representative spoke about the role of Bertha von Suttner, an Austrian laureate in the field of peace, in the relations between the two countries, and also focused on her work in Samegrelo.

The sides discussed the situation on the occupation line, as well as the epidemiological situation.

The meeting was attended by the First Deputy State Representative of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Nino Vibliani, the Mayor of Zugdidi Giorgi Shengelia and the founder of the Berta von Suttner Peace Prize Salome Adamia.
