The issue of arrangement of quarantine zones in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti is over.

The hotel "Palm Beach", Hotel "Anaklia" and Hotel "Prataps" were selected as the quarantine zone, where the citizens will spend 14 days. There will be 138 rooms in Anaklia.

“Personnel have already been retrained and equipped with appropriate clothing. Our citizens who are in quarantine will have complete comfort”-stated the State Representative.

Alexander Motserelia also talked about the issue of volunteers. At present, 250 volunteers are mobilized in the region, trained by the Red Cross.  Volunteers have already been involved in the process of delivering food from free canteens to citizens over the age of 70. Volunteers are also involving to inform population to keep safe distance between each other at rows on shops and ATMs.

The State Representative Administration and municipalities of the region have a 24-hour hotline.

The State Representative thanked the  employees of various agencies for their  hard work.

" I would like to thank to you nursing staff, police, volunteers, you journalists, public transport drivers, employees of grocery stores and pharmacies, public servants, that during such a difficult time are working tirelessly 24 hours a day.”

Zugdidi Mayor Giorgi Shengelia made a statement at a press conference today. He informed the media about the work being done by the volunteers and spoke about the assistance that the municipality would provide to four vulnerable groups. (Single mothers, future program beneficiaries, large families, and single adults over 60).

 ,, 329 persons are in self-isolation in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti-63 people completed self-isolation in the region, in total of 26 people relocated to quarantine  from the region - Nana Odisharia, Director of the Center for Public Health, provided this information to the media.
