Second phase of Zugdidi General Plan Review

In the building of the State Representative Administration of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti held review the second phase of the General Plan of Urban Development Regulation of Zugdidi.

Public disscusion attended by the deputies of the State Representative of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Davit Partsvania, Davit Verava, Zugdidi Municipality Mayor Giorgi Shengelia, project team representatives, NGOs, architects and interested citizens.

The project concept includes several directs, including: Creating preconditions for sustainable development of Zugdidi, reduce the negative impacts caused by transit traffic, formation of an administrative-public center, arrangement of the city's central districts and streets, establishment of cultural heritage protection zones, identification and development of public spaces, manage growing construction activities backdrop of limited territorial resources, establishing priorities and ect. The city's General Plan works "Art Studio" which won the tender announced by the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure.
