Tourism Strategy/Action Plan Presentation held

Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Destination Management Organization (DMO)  presented Samegrelo Tourism Strategy/Action Plan at Zugdidi Techno Park.

Tourism Strategy/Action Plan developed by an invited experts along with Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Destination Management Organization (DMO),  Georgian National Tourism Administration and the USAID / Zrda Tourism Direction team active involvement.  

The meeting was attended by the State Representative of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Alexander Moserelia, his deputies, local government and tourism representatives. At the meeting, the State Representative talked about the region tourism potential and future plans in the field.

“Tourism Strategy/Action Plan”  goal is to create such a guide document, which will contribute to the sustainable development of tourism in the region and increase the income from tourism. One of the main directions of the project is to develop new and innovative tourism products in Samegrelo region, popularization of the new and existing tourist sights.

Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Destination Management Organization (DMO) is an organization created in partnership with Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional Administration, Georgian National Tourism Administration and USAID/Zrda aiming for tourism development in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region.

The founders of the organization are municipalities of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region (Abasha, Zugdidi, Martvili, Mestia, Senaki, Chkhorotsku, Tsalenjikha, Khobi and Poti city).
