Vlaqernoba 2018

Today is a Vlaqernoba. The celebration is especially celebrated in Zugdidi. Traditionally, the robe of the Virgin is drawn from the Dadiani historical palace, which will be rested in the Cathedral of Iveria Godmother all day long. The pilgrims will be able to accompany the Virgin Mariam's robe togetge with with the arm of the St.  Marine, the hand of holy Kvirike, with the bones of St. George and John the Baptist.

Metropolitan Gerasime of Zugdidi and Tsaishi Diocese htogether with the  Metropolitan of Senaki and Chkhorotskhu Shio  held a ceremonial liturgy at the Cathedral of Iveria GodMother Cathedral.

Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Gakaria, Minister of Defense Levan Izoria, Sozar Subari, Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Levan Shonia, Chairman of Regional Policy and Self-Government Committee Zaza Gabunia, Members of Parliament and local Government representatives attended the lityrgy.
