Heavy technique works in the disaster zone to return to the old riverbed of Nenskra

In the village of Chuberi in Mestia municipality, disaster elimination works are being carried out in a continuous manner. All relevant agencies and services are involved in liquidation works.

At this time, tens of heavy vehicles work on the river Nenskra to get back to the old riverbed. Specialists of Emergency Situations Management, Fire and Rescue Services and Roads Department are also mobilized at the site.

Sozar Subari and Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Governor Levan Shonia together with local Government officials are in the disaster zone.

As a result of abundant rainfall, the mountainous part of the village of Chuberi was caused by flooding the river Nenskra. Due to the flow of the riverbed, the surrounding area has been flooded by tens of communities, and the heavy rainfall has flooded the roads between the villages. Mobilization of additional rescue teams and techniques from the nearest locations started in order to eliminate mudflows.
