10 units of specialized equipment will work in Zugdidi Municipality against Asian bugs

Anti-pest activities are carried out in Zugdidi Municipality. From today, municipalities will be mobilized with 10 units of highly specialized technique with flame aggregates.

State owned territories, villages, corn fields, as well as forest lines, where the use of specialized techniques is required will be sprayed by thermal fog, in order to prevent the spread of pests on the territory.

Zurab Lipartia, Head of the National Food Agency and Lasha Shalamberidze, Head of the Coordination HQ for the fight against bugs, introduced the plan of fighting Asian bugs to the Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Levan Shonia, together with Staff members of local authorities and the Mayor's representatives in administrative units.

At the meeting it was noted that for efficient measures it is very important to increase public awareness and complex and coordinated approach.
