Local self-government representatives introduced the strategy of the State Language Department

Giorgi Alibegashvili, Chairman of the State Language Department met the  mayors of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Municipalities and representatives of the relevant service.

Giorgi Alibegashvili introduced the representatives of local self-government the strategy and future plans of the department.

At the meeting they talked about the joint work of arranging Georgian inscriptions on the advertising banners.

The State Language Department offers consultation-information services to all interested individuals, self-governments and business representatives. They can apply to the Department of State Language and receive relevant recommendations.

According to Giorgi Alibegashvili, when the disputable issue will be checked, linguists and public representatives will take part in it and give an opinion on how to interpret in Georgian a brand, a hotel name, etc.

The meeting was attended by Nugzar Gabelia, Head of the Regional Projects Coordination Service of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Region.
