Conference on the fight against harmful diseases of agricultural crops

Regional Conference was held in the administration  of the State Representative-Governor  of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Region referring the theme " Measures against  pests and diseases of agricultural crops  on both sides of the River Enguri dividing lines”.

New approaches to the implementation of the 2018 State Program for the Fight against Asian Bugs were discussed at the conference, "Nuts diseases, New Challenges and Social-Economic Problems Related to them", "New Humanitarian Problems and Risks Caused by Asian Bugs and other Invasive Pests and Diseases".

Conference was leaded by the Minister of Environment and Agriculture  George Khanishvili, Head of the NFA  Zurab Chekurishvili, Deputy Governor of Samegrelo David Kodua, Acting Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia Vakhtang  Kolbaia, Deputy Chairman of the Municipal Council Tazo Patsatsia, and representatives of Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources Department.

Representatives of local government And the IDPs from Abkhazia living in the municipalities of the "dividing line" attended the conference.

The conference was organized by the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia and Department of Agriculture, Environment Protection and Natural Resources.
