A new bridge is being built in Zugdidi, which will relieve traffic on the central highway

A new road bridge is being built over the Chkhoushi River in Zugdidi, connecting Tsagveri and Javakhishvili streets. A new bridge over the Chkhoushi River has not been built in the city of Zugdidi for the past 40 years.

State Representative of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, David Verava, and Zugdidi Mayor Mamuka Tsotsira inspected the progress of the construction works.

 The cost of this project is 1,870,000 GEL, for which the money was allocated from the central budget.

The length of the new bridge will be 32 meters.

This project will solve a significant problem for the city and relieve traffic on the central highway.
