Delegation of Austria met with the State Representative -Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti
State Representative of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Mr. Giorgi Guguchia met with the Ambassador of Austria to Georgia, Thomas Műhlmann and members of Austrian delegation. Austrian delegation includes heads of Tyrol's international relations, mining, fire and rescue services. The meeting held in the administration of the State Representative Administration.
Tyrol already cooperates with Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti in the direction of fire-rescue and forest fire management issues. Cooperation in the tourism and education sector is also planned in the future. At the meeting, the parties talked about further deepening of relations between Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti and the Federal Land of Tyrol of the Republic of Austria and close cooperation between friendly regions.
The meeting was attended by the mayor of Zugdidi municipality Mamuka Tsotseria, Nugzar Gabelia Head of the regional project coordination service, Davit Sukhishvili, head of the fire rescue department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Emergency Management Agency, and representatives of various departments.
A memorandum of cooperation between the Austrian Federal Land of Tyrol and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti sides was signed in October 2021. The agreement was signed by the State Representative-Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Giorgi Guguchia and Günter Platter, the Governor of the Federal Land of Tyrol.
