An art gallery will be located in the cultural heritage monument on Agmashenebeli Street in Poti
The cultural heritage monument on Agmashenebeli Street in Poti will be completely rehabilitated and the painters' house will be located there.
Deputy of the State Representative Davit Verva, Majoritarian MP of the city Irakli Khakhubia, Mayor of Poti Gocha Kurdghelia and Chairman of the City Council Beka Vacharadze, attended the meeting.
The building was built in the modern style at the beginning of the last century by the German architect Edmond Frick. The building is distinguished by beautiful architectural details and artistic elements.
The cultural heritage monument on Agmashenebeli Street was handed over to the city municipality this year with the direct involvement of Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia and Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti State Representative Alexander Motserelia.
The building had previously been privately owned, but its owner could not provide care of it, causing the building to collapse over the years. The National Agency for Cultural Heritage was involved in drafting the building's rehabilitation document.
