Davit Partsvania attended the Regional Stakeholders Conference on “Black Sea Synergy: the way forward”
The Deputy of the State Representative of Samegrelo-Zemo SvanetiDavit Partsvania attended the Regional Stakeholders Conference on “Black Sea Synergy: the way forward” in Athens.
The event organised by the International Centre for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS) within the framework of the Hellenic BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office.
The overall objective of the Conference is to assess the lessons learnt, opportunities & challenges; identify and propose concrete ideas and projects; and propose policy recommendations.
Special emphasis placed on the four fields of cooperation identified with some progress, in order to overcome bottlenecks and maximise their potential, through four thematic working groups: culture & tourism; transport; education; energy.
David Partsvania focused on the construction of a maritime school in Poti and the cooperation of the Black Sea countries in the project.
The First Deputy of the State Representative also discussed the issue of establishing a unified tourist line for the Black Sea region, focusing on the development of agro tourism and strengthening the role of the regions.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the European Commission, Greek Ministers of several agencies, Ambassadors, the representatives of research institutes and various other governmental and non-governmental sectors.
