“Institutional Dialogue of State and Local Government''
The fourth annual forum “Institutional Dialogue with the State and Local Government"was held in Tskaltubo. Local self-government reforms, Regional Economy and Key Challenges of Local Business Development were discussed during the forum.
The forum was attended by the Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze, President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili, The State Representative of Samegrelo Zemo-Svaneti, Alexander Motserelia, head of regional governance and coordination department at the Government Administration - Sozar Subari, and Chairman of the Regional Policy of parliament and head of Self-Government Committee - Zaza Gabunia.
Forum of Institutional Dialogue of State and Local Governmentwasestablished in 2018 with the initiative of Regional Policy and Self-Government committee of the Georgian parliament. It is a platform for constructive dialogue on decentralization related issues and topics on development of self-governance between Central and Local government, integrating elected chairpersons of the town councils, city mayors of 64 municipalities of Georgia and Central Ggovernment officials.
The event was participated by the State Representative, Municipality Mayors, State Government, and number of people representing civil society and international organizations.
