English Language Club opened in Rukhi near the Occupation Line
Representative of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional Administration - Levan Tsulaia attended the opening of the English Language Club in the village of Rukhi. The club is equipped with a variety of resources and techniques necessary for teaching English. English language classes will be held at the newly opened club, as well as the library will be arranged. The new academic and educational places can be used by both Students and teachers from nearby villages.
The program, funded by the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, includes three components. These are: opening of the English language club, retraining teachers and preparing master trainers by experts from Great Britain. Master trainers will train 100 teachers in Kutaisi, Batumi and Tbilisi.
The English Language Club, within the framework of the program "English Language for Community", aims to help young people to acquire the necessary skills for employment. The program will also facilitate the development of talents in the youth to solve disputable issues through tolerance, gender equality and dialogue. The program partners are the Embassy of Great Britain in Georgia, Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia; Ministry of Justice of Georgia and State Services Development Agency; National Center for Teacher Professional Development and Georgian Language Teachers Association.
