Funeral Service conducted in Zugdidi for the victims of of the August War

In honor of the memory of the victims of the August War, Gerasime -the Metropolitan of Zugdidi and Tsaishi conducted the liturgy at the Cathedral of Godmother of Iveria, after which the funeral service for the souls of the dead was conducted.

Koba Kantaria, Acting Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Region, Lasha Gogia- Mayor of Zugdidi attended the funeral service.

The liturgy was also attended by the members of Giga Otkhozoria,who was killed by  Abkhazian so-called ,,boarder-guard in Khurcha on May 19, 2016.

Ten years have passed since the August 2008 War between Russia and Georgia. 37 people died in the August war from Samegrelo region.
