Agro-Tourist Festival in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti

Agro-Tourist Festival of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti was held in the yard of Mukhuri beekeeping scientific base in Chkhorotsku. Farmers, entrepreneurs, Regional Departments of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture and Municipal Information-Consulting Services participated in the first agro festival of the region.

Representatives of the United Nations Development Program, Swiss Development Agency, USAID project "Zrda", Agricultural Cooperative Development Agency, National Food Agency and Chamber of Commerce and Industry participated in the festival.

The Agro Festival guests had the opportunity to participate in honey recapping process, as well as attending famous Megrelian dishes Eljari and Gebjalia master classes.

Solomon Pavliashvili, Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, Koba Kantaria, -acting Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region, Chkhorotsku Mayor Dato Gogua and representatives of local authorities visited the Agro festival.

The organizers of the festival are the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture, Chkhorotsku Municipality and "Association for Agriculture Development".
