Canyoning Instructors Training in Mukhuri
Training course in canyoning for instructors in the village of Mukhuri, Chkhorotsku Municipality, is being conducted by the Vice-President of the International Association of Canyoning.
Such training is being implemented in Georgia for the first time and the purpose of the Certificate Course is to train the guides living in the target regions in order to train professional instructors to provide qualified service for tourists in the region. After successful completion of the training, the instructors will become members of the International Association of Canyoning and Licensed Instructors.
Courses on the river Khobistskali are being conducted within the frames of USAID project "Zrda in Georgia". Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Governor Levan Shonia and representatives of local government inspected the study process.
"The project is important because we will have instructors trained in accordance with modern standards, which will then prepare the guides, we will have professional guides, which will make possible to attract and host more tourist groups in the region, it obviously means increasing the income for the local population and perspective of development of this segment"- noted the Governor . Levan Shonia talked about tourism potential and prospects of its development in Mukhuri today.
USAID's project "Zrda" supports the development of adventure tourism in Georgia, envisages regulations in modern world about adventure activities and promotes retraining guides in the regions.
Certification training course will be conducted by international experts on June 7-21 and 22 July-2 August.
