Minister of Internal Affairs attended the event dedicated to the Independence Day in Zugdidi

Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Gakharia and Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region Levan Shonia participated in the events dedicated to the Independence Day in Zugdidi.

The Minister and the Governor visited  Z.  Gamsakhurdia Avenue together with the representatives of local government and congratulated the participants on 26 May.

Today, the Minister paid tribute to the memory of the first President of Georgia Zviad Gamsakhurdia and decorated the National Hero's monument with flowers.

The 100th anniversary of the restoration of Georgia's independence is grandiose in Zugdidi. Major events are taking place in the center of the city since morning.  Zugdidi of 1918 is revived. Z. Gamsakhurdia Avenue has retro and modern spaces, ethnographic corners, art, entertainment, cognition and sport spaces. Freedom Square is represented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Zugdidi City Hall locations on both sides of the central boulevard. The whole concert is going on throughout the day and the gala concert will start at 19:30.
