Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Governor congratulated veterans participating in World War II on Victory Day on Fascism

Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Governor congratulated the World War II veterans on 73-year anniversary of victory over fascism, together with Mayor of Zugdidi Municipality and Chairman of City Council.

You have done invaluable things for future generations; you have overcome hard days and struggled to defeat evil.  Many young people sacrificed the best thing - life, and thus ended fascism. Our country had significant casualties in this war, "said Levan Shonia.

Today, 30 veterans of World War II live in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Municipality; each of them will be awarded with cash prize. The Governor and the Mayor honored the memory of the heroes participating in World War II and laid flowers on their graves.
