Governor to Mayors: take all projects over personal control

Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti together with the deputy met the mayors of the region. The sides discussed the existing problems in the region as well as ongoing and planned infrastructural projects.

"All projects should be taken over prersonal control and the work should be done in a high-quality manner. Please take more communication with people, personally go to every village in the district to understand the needs and then work on their ways of solving them. We are trying the best to make every village have a well-planned infrastructure: road, water, natural gas. Many of these things have been made, but there are large-scale problems and we still have a lot of work. That is why we ask you to study all the problems and the needs of our citizens, "said the governor at the meeting.

Levan Shonia has ordered the Mayors 24 hour work of cleaning services in connection with the tourist season.

"Our region's interest in tourism increases, this year Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti will host a lot more tourists than in previous years, so all tourist routes and location should be the cleaned. If necessary, mobilize additional workforce and personally control the situation in your municipalities. "

According to Levan Shonia's initiative, on Earth Day, April 22, a large-scale cleaning action  will be held, where more than 5,000 volunteers will participate. Problem areas will be cleaned, where cleaning services can not work every day.
