A working meeting on rural development conception

Workshop, on the concept of rural development and main aspects was held in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional Administration

The following was discussed at the meeting: Rural Development Approaches and Institutional Arrangement, Development Strategy and Action Plan - Challenges and Opportunities, as well as the European experience, land, water, forest resources and waste management, review of the current situation in the environmental direction.

The meeting was attended by Nugzar Gabelia, Head of Regional Projects Coordination Department of the Samegrelo-Zemo Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional Governor Administration, deputy mayors of municipalities and representatives of relevant services.

The meeting was held in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), organized by the Policy and Management Consulting Group (PMCG), within the framework of the EU (EU) Rural and Agricultural European Neighborhood Program (ENPARD), the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure and the Ministry of  Protection of Environment  and Agriculture of Georgia.
