The Ministry of Refugees bought houses for 53 eco-migrant families in Samegrelo region
Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia Sozar Subar and Koba Kantaria, First Deputy Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, visited the private house purchased for the Eco-migrant family of Lagvilavas in Zugdidi municipality. Before that, they surveyed condition of the damaged house where Murtaz Lagvilava's family has been living for years.
The governor's administration and the City Hall of Zugdidi will deliver wooden timber to the family of Laguilavas for the newly built house.
Sozar Subari and Koba Kantaria attended the procedure of transfer of houses to eco-migrant families in the Public Service Hall in Zugdidi.
Since 2013, the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons and Resettlement has resettled 53 families affected by natural disasters in Samegrelo region.
The eco-migrant families, , choose their homes according to their desire in the frames of 25 000 GEL. Private houses, in most cases, are followed by land plots, which is an additional source of income for them.
The state has transferred more than 1000 eco-migrant families from 2013 to the present day.
