Local Self-Government National Association held working meeting in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Region
The National Association of Local self-government of Georgia held a working meeting in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Region.
Deputy executive director of "ATEA" Natia Ghvinaishvili, representatives of the association and expert of self-government Davit Zardiashvili met with the Representatives of the regional administration and local self-governments.
Natia Ghvinashvili provided the heads of the municipalities with detailed information about the organization's activities to and noted that the projects that will be implemented by ,,ATEA” in future will be more targeted and adjusted to the needs of the municipalities.
At the meeting, the sides talked about the importance of decentralization and discussed the role of the organization in the planning and implementation of the reform.
Participants of the meeting expressed their hope that through joint work and more coordination, it will be possible to improve the quality of self-governing institutions and to establish more effective governance.
The meeting was attended by Nugzar Gabelia, Head of Regional Projects Office of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Region, Mayors of municipalities, City Hall Chairmen and representatives of various local self-government departments.
The National Association of Local Self-government of Georgia will hold similar meetings in all regions of the country.
