Grigol Giorgadze held a meeting with representatives of civil sector in Zugdidi
First Deputy Minister of Internally Displaced People from the Occupied Territories and Accommodation Grigol Giorgadze together with Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Governor Levan Shonia met with representatives of civil sector and IDP initiative groups and provided detailed information about the ongoing projects in the Ministry.
In spring of 2018, 240 IDP families in Zugdidi will be granted new buildings in Baramia Street. In addition, another 6 blocks of flats are being constructed, where 360 IDP families will receive the apartments.
As a result of cooperation between the Ministry and the Public Service Hall, IDP families will have the opportunity to fill the applications for the flat in the Public Service Houses and Public Centers in any region of Georgia, saving them time and costs. At this stage, the applications will be accepted only in the Ministry and its Regional Administration.
According to the First Deputy Minister, the Ministry is working on a new project, which will get the first installment (maximum 20 000 GEL) for the IDP family, which will purchase the apartment through the mortgage loan in the construction building.
The problem of registering in the registry was also discussed at the meeting. According to Grigol Giorgadze, the ministry will submit a project to the government in the nearest future, after approval of which IDP families will be able to register their property on the occupied territory.
The First Deputy Minister informed the participants of the meeting about the projects providing IDPs, eco-migrants and returning migrants with livelihood sources.
