The 16km road connecting middle Khorga-Kulevi is under rehabilitation
Rehabilitation of 16 km road connecting the village middle Khorga-Kulevi in Khobi municipality is under rehabilitation. This road is important for local population as well as for moving traffic to the Black Sea Terminal.
Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Zurab Alavidze, together with Deputy Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Davit Kodua, Khobi Majoritarian MP and local government representatives checked the ongoing works.
The rehabilitation section starts in the village of middle Khorga and ends at the entrance of the Kulevi-oil terminal. The above section has not been repaired for more than two decades. The road was damaged, and could not provide safe and comfortable transportation.
Two-layer concrete cover, restoration of artificial facilities and yard entrances for the population will be arranged within the project framework, as well as metal pipes, connections to local roads and marking road signs. At this stage, arrangement of entrances and joints are in progress. The asphalt-concrete bottom layer is finished.
The project is financed from the state budget with the value of 7 688 800 GEL. The works are carried out by the Roads Department. Rehabilitation works began in June 2017 and will be completed in August 2018.
