Works are actively underway to provide 24-hour water supply in Tsalenjikha Municipality
From the end of the year Jvari population in Tsalenjikha municipality will have constant water supply.
19 million GEL will be spent for implementing this infrastructure project. As a result of completion of works, up to 10 000 of local residents will be provided with 24 hours of high quality drinking water.
Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Zurab Alavidze together with Goga Gulordava-the majoritarian deputy r of Tsalenjikha-Chkhorotsku, deputy governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Davit Kodua, director of the United Water Supply Company -Giorgi Koberidze and representatives of local government inspected current works on site.
The project envisages the construction and rehabilitation of water supply mains and distribution nets, pumping stations, wells and reservoirs. Due to the amortized water supply chain, the town of Jvari was supplied with water with by obstacles for decades.
The project is implemented by the United Water Supply Company, with the financial support of Asian Development Bank (ADB). The works are carried out by the Azerbaijani company "A I I Nhat-N", which has many years of experience in construction and rehabilitation of water supply infrastructure.
